Loved it. Food was delicious. Servers were friendly. The view of morro rock at sunset was incredibly beautiful. We ordered the fish and chips and New England clam chowder in a bread bowl. Both were very good with emphasis on the clam chowder as it was top 5 clam chowders I’ve ever had. Not the cheapest restaurant but compared to others around it was very reasonable. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The restaurant was in a great spot to view the Morro Rock. The food was exceptional as well as the presentation. The service was great, we were greeted by our waitress Vanessa, she was very nice ,friendly and pleasant. We ordered some fried calamari, it was delicious. Margarita was tasty and a beer. For main course ordered Snapper fish witch came with side of rice pilaf and fresh veggies( it was cooked to perfection). Dinner plate came with side of clam chowder soup or salad. Everything was exceptional. Thank you and hopefully next time we are in the area will be back again.

We walked into The Dutchie about 6pm on Wednesday evening and were able to get a table immediately. We enjoyed a very good cocktail while we looked at the menu. We ordered the steamer clams which were very good. We split a salad and both had a nice serving. My wife ordered the sole and I had the shrimp and pasta. Both were outstanding. The wine list isn't extensive but they offer some good selections. I had asked our waitress to bring my wife a treat after we finished dinner and she did it perfectly. While we enjoyed the food and service we had a wonderful view of the bay and Morro Rock. We had a wonderful experience there and will definitely go back.

Really good restaurant. We have Crab cake, Mai tai and Cioppino yesterday. All those are delicious. Today we have Oyster and Salmon are very good. Local Rock Cod is ok, but the fish is really fresh. Cook tail I have Mai Tai and Bloody Mary, I prefer Mai Tai, Bloody Mary is more suitable for lady. And our servicer name is Taylor, he’s really friendly. If you can’t decide what to eat, you can always ask him. And this restaurant is near sea, you can saw inland sea and Morro Rock at the window.

Really great experience! The window view was nice, really set the mood for our evening. Our waitress was on it, from cocktails to dessert. The clam chowder was good & my New York was amazing, paired well with the asparagus & mashed potatoes. Washed all of that down with a Bulleit Rye Old Fashioned. Our waitress talked us into ordering the flourless chocolate cake & I'm glad we did, that slice was AMAZING, the cream & mixed fruit (blueberries, strawberries, blackberries & raspberries) that it was served with was absolutely delicious! We will definitely make this our go-to when visiting Morro Bay.

Dutchmans was a treat. My food was delicious, very fresh and full of flavor. I also ordered a delicious cocktail from the bar. My group was lucky enough to get a window seat with a beautiful view of Morro Rock. Our server was on point and arrived quickly and checked on us often.

As a Morro Bay local of 17 years, I don’t usually dine on the Embarcadero—let alone write Yelp reviews—but tonight, Dutchman’s completely blew me away. I’ve been here many times over the years, but something has definitely changed. There’s a new energy, a new chef, and hands down the best food I’ve had not only in Morro Bay, but honestly, anywhere. Let’s talk about the Fritto Misto—easily the best I’ve ever had (and I order it everywhere I go). Perfectly crisp, light, and flavorful, it featured fresh broccoli, red peppers, thinly sliced fried lemons, artichoke hearts, fennel, jumbo shrimp, cod, calamari, and green beans—all served with a creamy Romesco and lemon aioli. It was absolute perfection. We also had the mushroom and goat cheese appetizer, and it felt like something straight off a high-end Los Angeles menu—rich, balanced, and beautifully plated. The cocktails were spot on, the ambience was cozy but lively, and the background music created the perfect vibe. A huge shoutout to Rory, our attentive and friendly server, and Dustin, our bartender, who made the evening even more enjoyable. Dutchman’s has seriously upped its game. This might just be the best meal I’ve had on the Embarcadero—ever. If you’re local and haven’t been in a while, trust me, it’s time!
